- mixes stems and coordinates with mastering engineer as needed
STUDIO MUSICIAN
$150 per instrument
- will perform any of the following: piano, keys, synth sounds, drums, percussion, bass, guitars, pads/ambient textures, orchestral samples (realistic results), backing vocals (male, or female, my wife sings), mandolin, nylon string, and much more
MASTERING
$100 per song
MASTERING + DISTRIBUTION

A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I began recording drums, piano, and vocals by overdubbing using 2 boomboxes in grade school. I had to play only when I was home sick alone from school, since no one wanted to hear that racket. The first song I recorded was a cover of Billy Joel's "Piano Man" with the harmonica strapped around my neck.
I learned Scott Joplin's "Maple Leaf Rag" in 4th grade, played Beethoven's Tempest Sonata in 6th grade (pretty sloppy though), toured Europe and the US with my college choir, got chills listening to a record of Beethoven's Waldstein and subsequently learned it, also got chills listening to Tool's "Lateralus" album, even on the 100th play through. I've been through a techno phase, a Josh Groban phase, a Keith Urban phase. I think Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me" is divinely inspired,
THE PROCESS
Typically, the singer-songwriter sends me a decent lead vocal recording and a guitar or piano track, played to a click, as separate files. If I also get a chord chart, I can create a full and compelling arrangement and mix in a morning.
The process can be as hands off or on as desired for the artist.
